Aisha Hinds is an American actress best famous for her role in the television series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has proven her ability as an actress, delivering remarkable performances in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. First noticed in 2005 for the character of Anna which was featured in Assault on Precinct 13 But it was her portrayal of women's rights activists Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actress. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was likewise highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for a 3rd season.
