Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. In the following year, she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. She became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top 3 across her diverse competitions at the Olympics which took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
